The project
Open kitchen with a waterfall island, plus a new staircase railing and treads
This Lake Zurich kitchen opens to the dining and living room. Dark textured cabinets wrap the walls and the island, which has a white waterfall top and seating on the stair side. Overhead, a floating ceiling panel with hidden lighting holds two lantern pendants.
Marble-look slabs frame the cooking wall, and the stairs next to the kitchen got new light treads and a black horizontal-bar railing that matches the kitchen.
